Cultural Holidays

Whether you’re savouring the taste of an authentic dish at a local restaurant, bartering over vibrant stacks of spices, olives and fruit at a street market, or watching an elaborate religious festival unfold before your eyes - a cultural holiday is a chance to step into a whole new world of experiences and adventures.

Our cultural holidays cover the whole spectrum - and span the globe - from the blossom-filled streets of Japan to the breathtaking vistas of Machu Picchu.

Discover the world’s cultural treasures

One of the best cultural holidays, tour Delhi, Agra and Jaipur - a trio of cities better known as India’s historic Golden Triangle - to discover one of the most culturally rich and beautiful areas on the planet. Here you’ll glimpse the marble turrets, intricate architecture and towering fortresses of India’s most spectacular monuments and buildings, including the iconic Taj Mahal.

A tour of Beijing will take you into the heart of China’s Forbidden City, a palace complex home to the world’s largest imperial palace - and one that was closed off to the public for hundreds of years. Finish your trip on the Great Wall of China as it snakes through the mountainous landscape of Badaling.

A venture into the authentic culture of Myanmar offers a rare insight into local life as it is lived. Ride a three-wheeled trishaw through rural villages, uncovering secluded temples and hidden monasteries you won’t find in any guide book.

Cultural holidays offer a unique opportunity to not only experience a country’s present, but its past and history, too. The world is full of incredibly dynamic and diverse cultures, and we’d love to guide you on your discoveries.

While there’s never a bad time to visit the Taj Mahal – except Fridays, when it’s closed – October to March is generally considered the best season for visitors as the comparatively cooler winter temperatures make exploring far more manageable.
