Gems of Picturesque Paraty

Our two night Gems of Picturesque Paraty tour allows you to experience of one of Brazil’s most charming towns. Located on the Costa Verde, between Sao Paolo and Rio de Janeiro, Paraty boasts well preserved Portuguese colonial architecture, a vibrant art scene and gorgeous scenery.

Paraty town itself sits in the curve of the Baia Carioca, between the marine blue sea and the intense green of the mountains beyond. The town’s white stucco walls and orange tiled roofs capture the light beautifully. Wandering the cobbled streets, you’ll find boutiques and art galleries, where local craftspeople ply their trade. Around the town are some incredible beaches where you can while away the long afternoon listening to the breeze in the palms and the surf breaking on the shore. As evening falls, wander over to Praça da Matriz, where tiny hole in the wall bars serve up fresh caipirinhas and live bands play.

On the second day, you’ll take a trip out on the bay on an authentic wooden schooner, exploring the coastline and stopping to swim and snorkel in the warm waters. As you lie on the deck watching the mountains and islands drift slowly by, you’ll feel a million miles from your everyday life.

Our tour of Paraty is the perfect addition to a couples’ trip to Rio de Janeiro or Sao Paolo, and giving you a fabulous new perspective on Brazil. If you’re looking to relax and unwind, this is the tour for you.
