Campbell River

Capture the spirit of Vancouver Island's unspoilt wilderness in Campbell River. Situated on the banks of Discovery Passage, the area is the ultimate adventure destination, from guided fishing tours, kayaking, wildlife watching excursions and miles of hiking trails, creeks and caves to explore. Campbell River itself is has plenty to see and do from strolling along Discovery Pier where you might spot salmon, bald eagles and whales or take in the sea breezes and picturesque views along the scenic Rotary Beach Seawalk. Why not head out further and discover some of the region’s most incredible scenery and famous wildlife. The lush rainforests, rocky shorelines and stretching beaches of Pacific Rim National Park make it ideal for spotting sea otters, black and spirit (blonde) bear, marmots and migrating whales - where contrasting Strathcona Provincial Park's rugged mountains, glaciers and waterfalls where you’ll find elk, cougars, black-tail deer and wolves.
