Jasper Holidays

Find yourself in the heart of the Canadian Rockies on a Jasper holiday. With breathtaking mountain vistas everywhere you look, the town of Jasper is the gateway to explore Jasper National Park. Pristine wilderness awaits: glaciers that give life to shimmering alpine lakes, tall canyons and tumbling waterfalls, all teeming with wildlife and natural wonders.

Jasper is a haven of comfort amongst the towering Rockies, with wonderful hotels, quaint shops to explore and some of Alberta’s most incredible nature all around. Just a hike or drive away from the town is Old Fort Point, with breathtaking views over Jasper, the Athabasca River and Beauvert Lake. From here, journey on to Patricia Lake or a little further to Pyramid Lake, stopping for a well earnt picnic.

Breathtaking Jasper National Park

Once you’ve acquainted yourself with the charming town of Jasper, venture a little further out into Jasper National Park. Take a scenic drive along the Icefields Parkway to the breathtaking Athabasca Glacier or head to the serene, glacier-fed Maligne Lake, home to the much photographed Spirit Island. The only way to reach Spirit Island is by boat, so hop on board a guided tour and enjoy the truly stunning views across the turquoise water as you go. By night, you won’t be able to help but gaze up at the sky over Jasper. It’s the second largest dark sky preserve in the world, with clear air and amazing views of the stars at night. If you’re lucky, you might even get to see the northern lights glimmering above.

Once you’ve explored Jasper, you’re in the perfect place to discover the rest of the Canadian Rockies. Why not drive along the Icefields Parkway, all the way to Banff, home to another of the province’s iconic National Parks and then board the Rocky Mountaineer en route to Vancouver?
