Poor customer service

The hotel itself has a great location and perfect for our three day get-away watching the waves crashing all around us. I agree with several reviews that the food in the restaurant and bar was poor value for money and very greasy. We ended up going out of the hotel for our meals after the first night. My big complaint was about the customer service AFTER we left the hotel. I paid our bill on my credit card when we checked out and was surprised to find an additional charge on my credit card statement on the day following our departure. I phoned the hotel and was told that it was for the bottle of wine from our room that we drank! This was totally false and we didn’t touch any wine from our room. We did see one bottle of white wine in the room when we arrived, and it was still there when we left. Apparently, there should have been a bottle of white PLUS a bottle of red in the room. How would we know that there was a bottle short to start with? The manager offered a weak apology when I phoned and stated to me that they had every right to add the charge to our credit card, even after we had left the hotel. No phone call to explain the charge. Just a weak excuse stating that they had made some recent internal change regarding which department was responsible for restocking the wine in the room. I was struck by the insincerity of the response from the manager. He did reverse the charge, but his attitude was hardly re-assuring that it would not happen again. Future guests be warned and check your credit card statement after you leave. This will likely happens again! The bath tub was also not cleaned once during our 3 day stay, even after declining the offer of no housekeeping for a $10 credit.

Great Location for Fall and Winter Storm Watching

We first visited this property in November 2019. We enjoyed it so much we returned in early March 2020. Our room was again amazing and we found the resort staff to be friendly and engaging. We will definitely be back again this fall.
