AAA Four-Diamond Chateau hotel

Situated next door to the Parliament Buildings, Chateau Laurier is perhaps Ottawa’s most iconic hotel, dating from 1912 and designed in the French-Gothic chateau style. Inside and out, this hotel exudes period elegance, heralding from the Golden Age of hotel comfort. Charm and stateliness still reign supreme in this hotel but it has moved with the times too – there’s a modern fitness centre, up-to-date room facilities and even a tour guide app for exploring the hotel. Soaring high above the streets, this turreted masterpiece is beautifully positioned overlooking the Rideau Canal and set just minutes from plenty of top attractions. For an historic, luxurious stay in Ottawa look no further.

Nice stay

Tecumseh, Canada

This is a beautiful hotel in the heart of Ottawa. Parliament buildings and Byward market within easy walking distance from here. We stayed 2 nights and would stay here again if ever back in Ottawa. We would have given it 5 stars, but we paid for the buffet breakfast when booking the room and although the selection was as expected, there were a few things missing. My wife asked for waffles at the omelette station as the sign mentions, what she got was stale tasting waffles that were not fresh. Fresh selection of breads other than simple sliced bread and bagels expected at a 5 star hotel breakfast buffet. Despite the above we would stay here again and not pay for the buffet breakfast but rather go out instead.

Interesting week at Château Laurier

Whitby, Canada

I was at a conference at Chateau Laurier for a week. Great location, great views, great staff and very little parking. Very expensive on site parking. Rooms were comfortable and elevator service was reasonable. Food was better than most hotels but expensive.
