Clean, convenient and friendly

Coe Hill, Canada

This is the second time in as many months that we had an overnight at the Lord Elgin. The staff are friendly and helpful. Our room was comfortable and meticulously clean. The rooms are small, but that was just fine for us as we had so many things to do while we were in Ottawa. Lots of reasonable places to eat nearby and free parking underneath City Hall on the weekends. Good value.

Our Rideau canal skating trip

We stayed at Lord Elgin for 6 nights between 6th - 12th Feb. It was a brilliant base with a warm and friendly atmosphere to come back to after a day skating. We were pleased with our room on a high floor and a comfortable king sized bed as requested. Only slight grumble was heating in bathroom was old and inadequate meant that you felt cold from the window. Particular mention goes to Frank the Bellman who was outstanding looking after us and our cases on our departure day. Food in restaurant at evening and breakfast is excellent. Thank you to all at Lord Elgin for a great stay.
