Let the tour begin, after being picked from your hotel in Punta Cana you'll depart to Higüey to visit the famous landmark La Basilica: the cathedral of Virgin la Altagracia, the most important religious monument for the Dominicans. Continue your journey through La Romana on your way to the capital city Santo Domingo, the first city of the Americas. Discover in awe how the city's ancient landmarks blend with modern day skyscrapers and visit the Cueva de las Maravillas (Cave of Miracles), a magical underground cave with stunning ancient Taino paintings. After a visit underground, you'll make a brief photo-stop to capture the famous Faro a Colon (Columbus' Lighthouse) before visiting Alcazar de Colon (Columbus' Palace), the Museum of the Royal Houses, National Pantheon, Ozama Fortress and the cathedral.

After breakfast, the tour heads towards Bonao to visit a coffee plantation where you will have time to enjoy lunch in a typical restaurant in the area (not included). Afterwards, you'll continue to the city of Santiago - the second biggest city in the Dominican. Visit the Restoration Monument located on top of a hill which overlooks the entire city. There will also be an opportunity to visit the famous Aurora Cigar Factory and continue onto Chocal, a chocolate factory where you'll be able to taste handmade Dominican chocolates. After you have feasted on chocolate, the tour will head to Puerto Plata, the famous tourist city on the north coast. Finish the day at leisure with dinner at the hotel included.

Enjoy breakfast in your hotel, afterwards journey to the Museum of the Dominican Amber in the city, with its immense collection of semiprecious stones. Afterwards, you'll head to Fort San Felipe, one of the oldest buildings in Puerto Plata. You'll continue the tour visiting the museum where you can enjoy exhibits of old cannonballs, firearms and other artifacts of war. From the top of the fortress you'll enjoy stunning views over the Atlantic Ocean. Next up, hop on the cable car and ascend up the Isabel de Torres Mountain and appreciate the panoramic views over the bay and the city below. Lunch can be enjoyed whilst out (at own expense) or return to the hotel and dinner is included that evening.

Enjoy a hearty breakfast before continuing towards the peninsula of Samana, passing by the beautiful scenery and landscapes of the north coast. Enjoy some beach time at Cabarete Beach before heading to Las Terrenas to check-in to your hotel. Your afternoon is at leisure to stroll around the town and have lunch at one of the restaurants on the picturesque beach - we recommend dining at Los Pescadores.

After Breakfast depart to board a boat to visit the National Park Los Haitises continuing towards Cayo Levantado also known as 'Bacardi Island'. Enjoy a memorable morning on this beautiful island accompanied by a delicious lunch, after some leisure time, you'll continue to Sabana de la Mar to board the bus. From here you will be transferred to Punta Cana and to your chosen hotel.
