All inclusive at a totally different luxury level

Connecticut

This is a luxury property, small with everything you could possibly want. Choose from beachfront or private pool villas which are spacious and well appointed. The dining is all ala carte. NO buffet tables as you would find in some all inclusives. It is a fine dining experience. The owner is on property and is a most gracious gentleman. The menu choices are varied and all delicious. The spa which includes one treatment per stay is excellent and one of the best massages I have had. There is plenty to do or you could just do nothing but sit on the beach and the drink service is included with that as well. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a luxury lay back vacation. Non stop air from many US airports.

Slice Island - a genuine piece of heaven on Earth!

Sunninghill, United Kingdom

My husband and I stayed here for seven nights as part of our honeymoon and it really was pure luxury – we spent the whole week being delighted and always had huge smiles on our faces! We organised a transfer from the airport with the hotel – the driver was extremely welcoming and once we were in the car he phoned ahead to the hotel to let them know we would be with them in 10 minutes. Upon arrival members of the management team were on the steps to greet us with a wonderful Spice Classic cocktail, check in was very efficient and before we knew it we were whisked off to our beautiful room by three members of staff (excluding the bell boy!). Customer service is truly outstanding and this is evident as soon as you arrive. Despite us only just arriving every single member of staff we met knew our names and would greet us with beaming smiles ‘Hello Mr & Mrs’. Accommodation We stayed in their bottom room – an Oleander Garden Suite but you would have never have known. It was absolutely beautiful – spacious, comfy and tastefully decorated. The Molton Brown toiletries are a real treat – they even spray your bed sheets daily at turn down with Molton Brown fragrance. The mini bar is included and well stocked, complete with two full size bottle of wines. Maid service was always timely and done to a very high standard, we never had a single complaint. The beach is truly beautiful and there was never any issues with comfy sun loungers being plentiful – you also get regular bar service on the beach. The pool looked lovely, however, we never tried it as we wanted to make the most of the beach. Food Where do I start when it comes to the food?! It was HEAVENLY. At breakfast there is a buffet of fruit, pastries, a large juice selection with two local juices that changed every day and then a comprehensive a la carte menu including American / English and local options. A must try is their eggs benedict! There were plenty of standard lunch options and they also offered a large number of daily specials. The standard lunch menu also changed whilst we were there. Our favourites were the roti’s, the fish specials, ice-cream churned on site and spice warm chocolate brownie. On Sunday they do a BBQ for lunch and it is genuinely amazing – do not miss it!! Afternoon tea is also served and is truly scrumptious, we only managed to do it three times as we were just too full but definitely give it a go at least once! Their scones are fantastic and change flavour daily we tried nutmeg, pineapple and vanilla. In the evening you are in for a real treat – it’s an expansive five course meal plus amuse bouche. The menu is shared in the morning, something to get very excited to wake up to. The food was absolutely amazing and there was a great variety our favourites included seafood pot pie, T-bone steak, lamb loin, cinnamon cheesecake… the list goes on!! On Friday night, it's a Caribbean themed buffet which shouldn't be missed! There was also a large Steel Drum band as the entertainment throughout the evening, which was amazing and definitely added to that Caribbean vibe! My husband loves hearing the steel drums so this is definitely a treat. The really nice thing about all the buffets including breakfast is that the kitchen staff are all out and serve your food for you, no need for you to do it yourself! It's definitely the little things that make a difference. The wines were all absolutely delicious too our favourites were the French sparkling wine and the Sunrise Merlot. But with one sparkling, one Rose, three reds, and three whites, I doubt you'll struggle to find one you love. Customer Service Honestly and truly the customer service is second to none, you are made to feel like royalty and nothing is ever too much trouble. The staff were all absolutely fantastic and Spice Island should feel honoured to call them their staff. The General Manager is extremely accessible and always showing his face to make sure you are having a wonderful time – we even saw Sir Royston a number of times. Other The hotel organised a driver for the day for us which was fantastic and an absolutely must do! Sylvan our driver provided us with the most wonderful experience of the island – we visited St Georges, Georges Fort, the Rainforest to see the monkeys and also the Belmont Estate. It cost 30 USD an hour and was worth every single penny. The hotel also packed us up a delicious picnic to take along too, you just have to let them know the night before. We also went on the sunset cruise the hotel organise and it was beautiful – definitely recommended. Janissa’s spa is also well worth a visit, we both indulged in full body Swedish massages and came away truly relaxed. Thank you to all the staff for making our honeymoon extra special – one thing is for certain we will be back! 😊 Ps, just to prove how special this place is we met a lady who was on her 36th trip with her 37th booked for later this year!
