Itinerary Breakdown

Upon arrival at Nepal's capital city, you will be met by your private guide and transferred to your hotel. Rest this evening after your flight and enjoy dinner and a cultural dance show at local restaurant.

After breakfast, enjoy a tour of Nepal's two holiest sites. The richly-ornamented Pashupatinath Temple, houses the sacred linga, or phallic symbol, of the Hindu Lord Shiva. Close by, the impressive Boudhanath Stupa is one of the world's largest stupas at 36 meters high. After a welcome rest, travel up to the sacred Swayambhunath, also known as the Monkey Temple - its golden spire crowns a wooded hill and is visible from miles around. In the afternoon visit Durbar Sqaure, a UNESCO World Heritage site. A focal point of the city, this cluster of temples and courtyards incorporates the elaborately decorated Palace Complex, once the royal Nepalese residence and now home to the Living Goddess (Kumari).

Take a sightseeing tour of Bhaktapur. Also known as Bhadgaon, this is one of Kathmandu Valley's three royal cities. Founded in the 12th century, it remains untouched by the modern world. Later, drive to Dhulikhel, 1,440-metres above sea level and once part of the ancient trade route to Tibet. The sunset views are spectacular and it is a magnificent spot to watch the sun rise across the Himalayas.

Today's journey takes you along the national highway.You have the option to walk the last 8km (3 hours walk) from Dumre to Bandipur. The walk is steep and goes through small villages, terraced fields and forests. Bandipur, draped along a high ridge, is a living museum of Newari culture, this small village offers an incredibly rustic charm and is a great place to separate yourself from the rest of the world.

After a beautiful sunrise, journey along the Seti River towards Pokhara .Arrive and check in to your hotel, then the rest of the day is at leisure. We recommend exploring the shores around Phewa Lake and the streets of the Lake City. Alternatively drive/walk up to Sarangkot to view the sunset over the Machapuchare/Fishtail and the Annapurna Range.

Tour the enchanting city of Pokhara, situated 827m above sea level. The serenity of its beautiful lakes and the magnificent Himalayan peaks rising behind create an ambience of peace and magic. This morning travel to your wildlife resort for a 2-night stay. Royal Chitwan National Park is the first and best protected area in Nepal. It offers protection to an array of mammals such as the one-horned rhinoceros, tiger, leopard, sloth bear and wild bison, as well as more than 400 species of birds. Enjoy a jungle safari and activities this afternoon and a slide show presentation before dinner.
