Holiday Inn Dead Sea Hotel

Contemporary Arabesque-style retreat

This elegant and contemporary Arabesque-style hotel enjoys an envious position overlooking the Dead Sea. The downtown area and biblical site of Jesus' baptism in the River Jordan are both just a few miles away. For relaxation, the luxury spa offers mineral-rich treatments whilst a trio of interconnecting swimming pools lead to the therapeutic waters of the sea.

We come here as Honeymoons, we got a free upgrade to sea view suite with special red theme. Staff memers are amazing with great smile and always willing to help. We greeted warmly and they sent us free amenities. Infinity pool was warm and fantastic and we enjoyed swimming there. Breakfas and dinner are special and the team is great - Sure we will come back again to enjoy more and more. Thank you for every one.

Disappointing stay

Frisco, Texas

Our Gate 1 tour included two nights at the Holiday inn Dead Sea. It’s advertised as a ‘deluxe’ property with great views of the Dead Sea. It’s true that the views are beautiful, but my experience was hardly deluxe. I could warn you about a variety of issues during our January stay, such as closed pools, closed entrance to the Dead Sea (I understand the water was too rough to enter but we couldn’t even get close enough to dip a toe), uncomfortably warm rooms, and hard bed/flat pillows. These pale in comparison to the numerous stray cats roaming the property and using the outdoors as their litter box. The rain only seemed to make the odor worse! One cat jumped from the roof onto a nearby chair, so startling us we nearly dropped our drinks. We couldn’t enjoy being outdoors due to the strays; this included trying to hold our breath when we walked to our rooms! Don’t get me wrong, I’m an animal-lover, but not under these conditions. At check-out, there was even more bad news: a $25 JOD ($35 USD) charge for a five-minute free collect call from my room to my credit card company. The Gate 1 guide said he’s had quite a few complaints about such charges, so be careful. I’m disappointed in both the Holiday Inn brand and the InterContinental Hotels Group who owns this chain.
