Itinerary Breakdown

Arrive in Delhi where you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Explore Delhi at your own pace to alternatively enjoy a nice relaxing day before your tour begins.
On your second day, enjoy a sightseeing tour of Old Delhi. You will visit the Raj Ghat (memorial to Mahatma Gandhi), Jama Masjid (the largest mosque in India). Drive past Chandni Chowk, that was once an imperial avenue of Mughal Royalty which is the busiest commercial area of the city. Walk through Chandni Chowk to appreciate the ambience of an oriental marketplace.Afterwards visit the 12th centre Qutab Minar, gracefully hand-carved for its entire height of 234 ft, and the iron pillar, this has withstood the ravages of time and not rusted even after 1500 years. Visit the mausoleum of emperor Humayun - a forerunner of the Mughal style of architecture and the imposing modern Lakshminarayan temple. Drive past the India Gate (war memorial dedicated to the lives of Laid down by the Indian soldiers), the president's residence - formerly the Viceroy's Palace, parliament House and the Secretariat buildings, - an interesting blend of the Victorian and 20th century architecture. Late afternoon drive to Agra (approx 5 hours drive)

Overnight in Agra

Your morning will be at at leisure before checking out and an afternoon city tour of Agra Fort. In Fort visit Diwan-E-Am (House of Commons), mosques within Fort and royal pavilions like Macchi Bhavan, Shah Jahani Mahal and others. Several of the buildings are made from pure marble with beautiful carvings. To cool off the rooms the walls were hollow with running water going through them. The balconies of these pavilions give a clear view of the Taj Mahal with the Yammuna river flowing by it. Later visit the world famous Taj Mahal built by Shah Jahan in 1560 in memory of his queen Mumtaz Mahal to enshrine her mortal remains. This architectural marvel is a perfectly proportioned masterpiece fashioned from white marble that stands testimony to the skill of 20,000 craftsmen brought together from Persia, Turkey, France and Italy and who took 17 year to complete this ' Love Poem in Marble'. Enjoy a super sunset and take some memorable photographs.
Next you will depart for a transfer to the railway station to board the overnight train for Katni.

You will arrive early at Katni railway station at 05.15 and you will drive to Bandhavgarh (2.5 hours approx). On arrival, check in at your resort on full board for three nights and enjoy time to relax.

Over the next the three days you can enjoy early morning and late afternoon jeep jungle visits allowing you the opportunity to enjoy the rich flora and fauna of this beautiful wildlife reserve. Witness some of the park's diverse mammals, birds, butterflies and snakes.
The forests is said to be home to a high density of tigers, over 35 kinds of mammals, 250 species of birds, 111 species of butterflies, 16 kinds of snakes, 500 kinds of plants and many more trees and shrubs it undoubtedly has a very rich flora and fauna.

Enjoy an early morning jungle visit before travelling to Kanha (approx 6.5 hours). Check in at the Chitwan for a three night stay on full board. Kanha National Park is one of the most well maintained National Parks in Asia, boasting about 22 species of mammals and some 200 species of birds.
Early morning and late afternoon jungle visits - keep your eyes peeled for tigers, deer, antelope, sloth bears, wild dogs and perhaps an occasional panther.

After a leisurely breakfast leave Kanha National Park and head to Raipur airport to board your flight for Delhi. On arrival you will be met and transferred to your overnight hotel.
