Attentive 5* Service

Edenbridge, United Kingdom

Finished our Borneo holiday here - as plenty of people probably do. Was a bit worried about the costs - you're obviously a captive market - but felt that services, food and drink were reasonably priced, given the 5* luxury. Food was excellent and the spa treatment was out of this world. Particularly enjoyed our meditation class that we went to a couple of times - still trying to practise. Trouble is, each time I consciously try to clear my mind I just think back to what a beautiful setting it was and my mind then goes back over my holiday! I suppose that's mindful in itself :)

Paradise!

London, United Kingdom

We stayed 3 nigts at this lovely resort. We absolutely agree with everyone's comment, just amazing! I don't want repeat them so let me put some tips instead. Boat check-in counter at Jesselton Point: easy to miss. The office is behind the small brown desk which is written "Gaya Island Resort". This is located in the middle of walkway on the right. (There is an office for other resorts at the end of the walkway which has similar name, don't go there!) Tavajun Bay: Lunch at Tavajun Bay was included in our package so we tried out. It was lovely small private beach 5 minutes ride on boat. Food was ok, choice was very limited either satay or chicken wrap. My beef satay was very tough. Beach was not as clear as the main beach... might worth a visit for a change but I'd rather be in the main.... Jungle walk: It was very nice walk and recommended. One thing you may want to make sure is that you join small tour or be at the front of tour. Max 12 ppl but one I joined was a group of 18. We could not hear or see much as we were at the back of group... Don't take it wrong, this is an amazing resort. Hope you will also experience nice time here!
