Singapore and Borneo Multi Centre

A stunning city followed by a Malaysian adventure

Singapore is known as one of the most cosmopolitan cities in the world. This glistening city offers ultra-modern streets, colonial monuments and not too far outside of the city centre via cable car is Sentosa Island, home to Universal Studios, golf courses, theme parks and beaches. Continue your journey with a Malaysian adventure and a short flight to Borneo. Relax and enjoy the 5-star facilities of the Shangri-La’s Rasa Ria Resort, set on a stunning long stretch of beach the hotel has many facilities on site, or a fantastic add on to your trip is a 3 day escorted tour of neighbouring Sandakan. Borneo's lush rainforests are home to some of the most varied wildlife on the planet, but none of them capture the imagination like those 'wild men of Borneo', the flame-haired orangutans. We love seeing them at the Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre in Sandakan, swinging through the trees and enjoying feeding time. With fewer than 15,000 left in the wild, this is your chance to see these great apes in their natural habitat.

Our Experts Recommend:
  • Cosmopolitan city buzz in Singapore

Begin your journey in cosmopolitan Singapore, despite its size this tiny city-state certainly packs a lot in. Singapore is famous for its shopping and the malls of Orchard Road should definitely be on your hit list if you're looking for well-known labels. However, don't forget to explore the districts of Little India and Chinatown where you will find more authentic gifts. Four days here will give you enough time to explore.

After a three hour flight arrive in Borneo where we recommend you stay for eight days, to include a mixture of touring and relaxing at your beach hotel. After all of your sightseeing in Singapore you will probably be ready for a bit of rest and relaxation so three days on the beach will give you the perfect amount of time to enjoy the facilities of your hotel, perhaps enjoying a massage or two at the spa.

Once you're feeling refreshed we suggest embarking on our two day Nature of Borneo tour where you will stay overnight in a traditional lodge in Sukau, visit the Sepilok Orangutan sanctuary, enjoy a wildlife spotting cruise on the Menanggul River, explore the Gomantong Caves and enjoy a tour of Sandakan town.

After the tour we recommend heading back to your beach hotel for a further three days before returning home.
