”paradise”

Absolutely loved every single minute of this holiday. Thought we might have got bored!! No we didn't... Excellent welcome, excellent villa, excellent wine selection, excellent food. Feel very lucky & privileged to have visited this part of absolute paradise. Thank you

Anniversary trip 2018

Maldives

Words cannot describe the feeling you get when you step on this island. Its like a home away from home. Not super luxurious but just perfect if your idea of a vacation is eating, relaxing and snorkeling. Cinefushi was amazing, my wife cried with joy because of the lovely setup made by Hassan and his team. The food was very delicious and different themed nights meant that you did not have to eat the same food everyday. There was no staff that passed who did not smile and greet. Constace really has the best service standards. All staff made us feel very special every minute that we spent on the island. Special thanks to Shasha, Ron, Airport team, F.O team, Hassan and his F.B team, HSK team and each and every staff working at this magical island. Really wish to go back some day.

Moofushi, again and again..., please!!

This was our second time in Constance Moofushi, and fourth time in Maldives. In this review I’ll try to be fair, and constructive. It was written slowly during our stay and posted the moment we left. Remember that this resort is one of the best in the world and Maldives is a top destination. It is quite hard to make comparisons. We arrived around noon, for a 12 nights stay 1. Our villa(s) On arrival they gave us the 106 water villa. This was not good in our view because all villas with even numbers (starting 102) in that wood walk are facing the arrival jetty, so you are eventually being disturbed by TMA planes arriving and you can even smell the fuel... In other resorts we have stayed they have a far away jetty for planes to land. It is not the case here, and that is not bad at all because it is very nice to arrive near the reception. Well, after a talk with the management we were moved 3 nights after to the 115 water villa which was all we were expecting. If you are planning to book a beach villa let me tell you that all villas are good. In 2016 we stayed a few days in a beach villa (number 16) and the experience was awesome. They are located in the best part of the beach, great for snorkeling. In fact I do myself prefer the beach villa experience because I like to wake up and put my feet on the sand and take a dive in the ocean. Otherwise, my wife prefers the water villa (and wives should always be right :))). Cleaning of the villa was good, but not the best we had in Maldives. Room boys organize your stuff quite well, but we found some sand on the floor once in a while (not problematic at all of course). Since we were honeymooners this time, a bed decoration would have made us feel even happier. We had nothing like this on arrival. 2. Food Food is amazing here. You are in an all-inclusive resort but you don’t have that feeling at all. The main restaurant is Manta. It is a buffet restaurant but with with a unique setting. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served here. Good quality food and a huge variety of good wines. Chef Sven from Germany is always attentive and willing to fulfill your food wishes. The direct answer he gives to your request is “Anything is possible here!” One day my wife wanted to repeat the Bento box that was available in the menu in 2016. Sven arranged it and it was very very nice. We could meet again with Madu, one of the best sommeliers we have ever met. He could immediately understand our taste regarding wine and then after that he was always suggesting the right wine to our food. We did drink fantastic wines from all over the world. At Manta restaurante Kim from the Philippines was a wonderful waiter, taking care of us all the time with a great smile. We normally had lunch at the Totem bar because there you have a menu (a la carte included in Cristal Package) and we could have our meal in front of the ocean being served by an amazing group of guys. Pincher and Rapee did everything to make us feel special. This team is highly qualified to serve you in the middle of paradise. They knew what we wanted in advance. Pincher is very polite and ahead of our wishes. Although he is a young guy he has a lot of experience and knows how to make guest feel special and pampered. You are entitled to have one or two dinners at Alizee depending on how long your stay is. We were there twice and we really enjoyed it. For extra $60 you may have your lobster. But don’t worry... They will serve lobster at the buffet as well. 3. Manta bar and amusement Manta is the main bar that works all the time. You can have coffee cookies and liquor here. Some guys stand out: Gopan (memorized our names immediately), Nasy, Azim, Topnath (my caipirinha guy), and Waseem. Every other day they have a DJ playing international music. You’ll have your dancing moment here definitely. Once a week they have a local dance moment (famous Boduberu). Some staff is dancing, playing and singing. Look up for Pincher. He’s the guy playing the drums the other way around. 4. List of pros and cons Pros: Staff and service (from the best quality you can find in the world, and they are not looking for tips). Lunch at Totem bar looking at the ocean and having your preferred wine. Recommend the Creation, Sauvignon Blanc, from South Africa (thanks Madu!). Food in general. Snorkeling. Clinic (we had to go there because of my wife’s cold and Doctor Ahmed was very competent and professional; but hope you never need it). Totally satisfying all inclusive. Gym (we are gym users and in some resorts you get disappointed; not the case of Moofushi). Having a coconut water provided by the good man John, he always meets you with a smile. Spa massages (accordingly to my wife; I stayed at Totem bar having a Corona). Playing beach volley with staff and other guest, under the coordination of Sasha, the general manager. Cons: Weather (we had a couple of rainy days). Not Moofushi to blame though. Renovation needed in some areas like villas (we have heard that a renovation is coming soon). Lack of pools in water villas. Lack of food room service (once in 12 days if it is raining you would like to stay at your villa). You have to return home eventually... 5. Practical information and hints Power outlets are UK type. No USB outlets. You will have an international adapter in your room. No insects repellent needed if you stay in a water villa. They have a very good pest control system. Be aware that TMA will charge you in Male 5 dollars per extra kilo. You are entitled to 25 kg per person. On your journey back to Male you won’t have to pay again. The resort is stress-free. You won’t have any problem finding your chair in the beach or at any restaurant or bar. The resort is eco-friendly. Non-reusable plastic is banned here. You will find a lot of sharks and if you are lucky turtles and mantas. Sharks are completely friendly. They won’t harm you at all. The Moofushi Lounge at the airport is really great. Well decorated and food is available at any time. If possible do not book an early flight on your return. Try to have a good time in you last day because you will miss Moofushi the moment you leave this paradise.

Daily Activities

Outside of the water there is an entertainment lounge, volleyball equipment and aerobic classes to enjoy. You might like to spend time by the pool with a cold drink, or unwind at the spa over the water— the choice is yours.

Swimming Pool

The island's swimming pool is a relaxing alternative to the ocean, and includes a deck and close proximity to drinks so you can stay refreshed during the day.

Watersports

Watersports from the island include complimentary pedal boats, windsurfing, kayaking, and snorkelling. Catamaran sailing is also complimentary but an orientation is required which is payable locally.
