A wonderful Spring Break @ Grand Velas Riviera Maya

We went to Grand Velas Riviera Maya for Spring Break 3/12-3/17/19 and it was amazing! It was my husband and two teen boys--14.5 and 11.5 years old. The property, amenities, beach, pool, food, drinks, room service, staff, concierge, etc. were all top notch. We had a room in the Ambassador section which I recommend as it is close to the action. I do recommend your kids take water shoes and snorkeling gear as you can do some great snorkeling @ the resort. Heads up that older kids need to wear pants to dinner at the nicer restaurants. I read one place that it is 16 and up, but then we were told when we arrived at the resort that it's 12 and up, so make sure you confirm before you go. We had Dream Art Photography take family photos and they turned out great! These folks made our trip even better: Alejandrino/personal concierge, Jorge G. @ the Ambassador pool, Beatriz @ the Ambassador beach and Elias and Luis @ DreamArt Photography. We look forward to going back to Grand Velas in the future with some friends!

Best Family trip to date at an all inclusive resort

Our Ambassador room had a great view of the ocean and was the perfect size for a family of four. We even had one king bed for the double room. Everything was very clean and organized and felt very luxurious. Housekeeping did a great job keeping our room stocked with the essentials. We did not book a plunge pool but were upgraded at check in. It was a nice extra. The staff was amazing and very attentive to our needs. I can’t say enough about the pool service. Jorge (the tiger), Nora and Jorge checked on us nonstop and the food from the pool to all the restaurants was outstanding. I highly recommend Frita. Our children are 15 & 8 and they both thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Our youngest loved the kids club and did not want to leave. The staff was very good with the children and kept them busy with fun activities and crafts. I also loved the activity instructors. They did a great job with water aerobics and pool yoga. The beach was well maintained. Seaweed is a problem everywhere you go anymore on the gulf side and the staff did a great job keeping it clean. We went two miles down the beach and it was the best spot.
My husband and I will go back and stay in the Grand Class next time for an adults only vacation.

Paradise!
This was the most luxurious and most relaxing vacation ever! The service at Grand Velas is superb and the entire hotel smells like heaven. They cater to children and adults. Their attention to detail is really something. We will definitely be booking another trip in the future.

Beyond Relaxing

This resort was so relaxing. Staff is super friendly. 1st floor room is off the charts wonderful feeling and view. We loved Santiago, he took great care of us. The Spa is a MUST do! An experience like no other. The adult pool was so relaxing, Donato was nice at pool.
