We recommend spending a couple of days in the bustling capital Manila. Make sure you take the time to explore the historic walled city known as Intramuros, a highlight of any trip to the city. If shopping is your thing there are no shortage of malls to explore including the Mall of Asia, Glorietta and Greenbelt. Finally soak up the sunset over Manila Bay.

From Manila take a short 60 minute flight to the tropical island of Bohol famous for its white sand beaches and natural attractions. First on your list should be the famous Chocolate Hills, followed by a leisurely cruise on the Loboc River and a visit to the Philippine Tarsier Sanctuary. You can easily spend five days exploring this beautiful island and relaxing on the powder-soft white sand beaches.

Your final stop on this suggested itinerary is Cebu. Accessed by fast ferry from Bohol you can easily combine the two islands together. Not only are there plenty of attractions to see in Cebu city itself such as the Carbon Market, Taoist Temple, Magellan's Cross and Fort San Pedro, you can also drive over the bridge to Mactan island which is where most tourist hotels are located. Again we recommend five days here to relax at your beach hotel and explore the city sights.

  • Magellan's Cross
