Manila, Bohol and Cebu Multi Centre
This suggested itinerary offers a great combination of bustling city life in the capital Manila, unspoilt natural beauty and beaches on the tropical island of Bohol and a combination of city sights and beaches in Cebu. We suggest you'll need a minimum of 8 nights (not including your international flights) to make the most of this itinerary, but give our travel experts a call and they will happily arrange the best itinerary to meet your needs.
Destination One: Manila
The ideal starting point of your Philippines holiday, spend a couple of nights in the capital city, accessible by direct flight from London Heathrow. Take a walk around the old walled city, Intramuros, shop til you drop in the Mall of Asia and enjoy a sunset over Manila Bay.
Destination Two: Bohol
Just an hours' flight from Manila, this gorgeous island is bursting with natural attractions. Perhaps most famous are the Chocolate Hills, a unique formation of hundreds of dome shaped hills which turn brown in the summer resembling giant chocolate drops. Not to be missed is the Tarsier Sanctuary where you can learn all about these tiny primates and the work the sanctuary carries out to try and protect this species. If you're lucky you may get a glimpse of the tiny bug-eyed creatures. We recommend spending at least five days in Bohol, the amazing powder-soft beaches will by vying for your attention along with ancient churches, tranquil river cruises and snorkelling opportunities off the nearby islands.
Destination Three: Cebu
The final stop on this suggested itinerary is the island of Cebu. We recommend taking the Ocean Jet ferry from Bohol which takes around 90 minutes. Upon arrival in Cebu port you may choose to embark on a tour of the city with attractions including Magellan's Cross, Fort San Pedro and the Taoist Temple. Most hotels are located on Mactan Island, accessed by bridge from the main island of Cebu. Although the beaches here are man-made they are no less beautiful and there are plenty of fish right off the shore so its great for families. The nearby islands offer amazing snorkelling opportunities, or you may like to arrange a trip to Oslob on the south of the island where you can take a small boat out to swim with whale sharks, an experience not to be missed.
