The Seychelles is close to the Equator, which means 12 hours of sunshine all year round and little temperature variation during the year. Daily temperatures rise to the low 30°Cs in the afternoon and fall to the low 20°Cs at night. Sunset is usually between 6 and 6:30 p.m. As the islands are scattered over a wide area of ocean, there are some local climatic variations.
