Beautiful Honeymoon!

We were from 25.10.19 to 03.11.19 in this wonderful resort. When we arrived we got to know Kevin, who explained everything to us. The location of the resort is great. The pool was beautiful and the food very good. We had a villa the charm with a great view of the sea. The room service was great too. We really had a wonderful honeymoon. On the first day we met Fabio the Resort Manager, which we liked very much. Unfortunately, we got to know Anny from the reception only on the penultimate day of our stay, she is also great. We checked out at 10 o'clock on the last day and got another room available until 17.30, thank you again for that. We have stayed in many hotels, but the service offered here is truly unique. A big thank you to Kevin who was there for us in the whole 10 days. We already miss him. Thanks to all the employees who were always very friendly. Thank you that we were allowed to spend the most beautiful holiday of our lives with you. Thanks for everything, we'll be back for sure. Mr. & Mrs. Fian :-)

Luxurious stay

Dublin, Ireland

This was our treat to ourselves as part of our Seychelles trip, two nights of luxury in Domaine de l’Orangerie, which would also allow us to enjoy the special vibe of idyllic La Digue. With a shuttle transfer from the ferry, we were greeted with a gong being struck and given the first glimpse of this special accommodation. Our room was absolutely spectacular, with space, comfort and beautiful design, and nice welcoming touches. The pool area was totally five star, and added greatly to our enjoyment. The little beach area was also convenient, and the bar - including swim up area - excellent. Food was very nice, and staff friendly and welcoming, we had some very nice chats. We didn’t get a chance to use the spa, but the grounds and design of everything was fantastic. It’s location was perfect, just close to the little village, and of course cycling around this beautiful island is great fun. One issue which I have to mention though is the dress code, and the inconsistency in applying it. I raised this with George the restaurant manager, and we had a very friendly good humoured chat about it, but it is the one thing I’d change about the hotel. The buffet dining area simply has no place having a dress code at any time, outside of not allowing swimwear. I followed the dress code, closed shoes for men etc and then looked at guest after guest was going around in shorts and sandals: it made me feel like I was being punished for being the idiot who followed the rules. Then in the fine dining area, where You can understand some dress code (sort of), guys in sandals again. I’d urge the hotel: Don’t have a dress code if you’re not going to apply it, as it just makes people who (reluctantly) follow it feel like mugs for doing so. However, it shouldn’t take away from what was a fabulous stay, and we certainly got the treat we were looking for.
