a little gem

We started our garden route tour in Knysna South Africa and stayed at the Belvidere manor. What a delightful experience. We had a garden cottage which was lovely and, while we did not use it, there was a well equipped kitchen. The rooms were a good size and very clean. The bell tavern is a great eating place and very reasonable priced. The staff were great and a special mention has to be given to Jeffery "soopar, fresh". He is a star. This is a place to be recommended.

Wonderful venue for a party and to take friends

I have organised several functions at Belvidere Manor and if the weather is good there is nowhere better than their patio in front of the Manor House. The food is delicious and service more than excellent!!! I havent stayed there as I live locally but love taking friends there to show off the amazing view, and lovely gardens rolling down to the lagoon.

The Bell Tavern

This is Knysna's smallest pub and has an outstanding wine cellar. It will definitely give you a home from home experience with a wide selection of beers including local brewed beers and also Cape Wines. Meals can enjoyed in the garden in the summer months and in the winter months enjoy the warmth of the wood-burning stove.

Caroline's Bistro

Named after the first mistress of Belvidere, enjoy delicious meals while taking in the view of the lagoon and its surroundings. Restrictions: Open evenings only and bookings are essential.
