After you’ve soaked up some city culture, it’s time to indulge in a spot of wine tasting at one the many vineyards. Well known for its world class wine and dining, Cape Town is a great place to learn about the wine production process, with guides advising on how to best to taste each variety.

For some time in nature, head to Boulders Beach for penguin spotting. This rare and wonderful sight gives you the opportunity for some great photos as you see these comical animals waddling along the sand. A trip to nearby Kruger National Park to spot the elephants, rhinos, lions, leopards and buffalo is a must when in South Africa. Stay in remote, luxury lodges in the heart of the park, allowing you to be totally at one with nature.

Mauritius is a heavenly destination, which is particularly popular with honeymooners. It allows you to discover a slice of tranquil island life. Surrounded by the Indian Ocean and famed for its lagoons, reefs and waterfalls, there’s plenty to see and do in this exquisite part of the world.

Book a luxury waterfront lodge for a sense of peace and exclusivity, with the option to have breakfast delivered to your accommodation, and hop on board a boat for a cruise around the volcanic island.

Trek through verdant rainforests, taking in the mountainous landscapes and the tallest waterfall, the Chamarel Waterfall, on the island. At over 80 metres high, watch in awe as the cascading water thunders into the pool below. A trip to the Black River Gorges National Park is also a fantastic way to get better acquainted with Mauritius.

Diving and snorkelling are much loved activities on the island and a unique chance to see the marine life and coral reefs that are hidden below the water level.

Sit back and relax on the pristine beaches, surrounded by palm trees and bright blue skies. With a book and cocktail in hand, watch the sun set over this idyllic setting, before setting off home or continuing your adventures.
