Pilanesberg National Park is located west of Pretoria and borders with the Sun City resort. Perched on the eroded remnants of a long-extinct volcanic crater, and fringed by rings of hills, the national park is home to lions, leopards, elephants, rhinos, brown hyena, fleet-footed cheetah, zebra, and hippos.
