Great experience as always!

Boston, Massachusetts

This was our third visit to the Windjammer. Again, an excellent and relaxing vacation. The staff goes above and beyond to accommodate your wishes. We were "stranded" due to weather/ air travel cancellation for 4 extra days. The management couldn't have been more helpful. We just booked again for 2020.

Terrific Restorative Place

Indianapolis, Indiana

This was our sixth visit to Windjammer Landing. We have not been people who have gone to the same place twice - except for Windjammer Landing. It is a terrific place to rest and rejuvinate. Let me go down the list.... Our unit: one bedroom - but 1-3/4 baths so we were more relaxed when we got ready for dinner. Our unit faced west and so we could see the sunset every night as we had a cocktail while relaxing in our private plunge pool. The patio not only had the plunge pool but two lounge chairs and a table and four chairs. Just a note... room service is very reasonable and breakfast on the patio overlooking the bay is just a delight. The people... such lovely people: I am so chagrined that I cannot remember everyone’s name... but I will try... Papa Don’s restaurant: Italian: June is a gracious hostess and her staff are excellent. Anthony has been there a while and is quite attentive. Ernest rotates among the bars but he was there when we went and he has a quick and easy smile. Great pizza, pasta, and veal Saltimbocca. Upper Deck: Samantha is a wonderful hostess remembering our names so quickly. Angus has been managing for quite some time. Both Samantha and Angus pitch in and are so warm and welcoming. Ronelle, Anancia (I am butchering her name), and a young man and another woman with the biggest smile in the world also waited on us there. I’ve slept since returning in February and am so very sorry I cannot remember names. Steaks are amazing... always done to order. Seared tuna is soft and delicious. Embers at the beach: service is slow there but the management understands. They are a small operation with a lot of traffic. MUST try the pulled pork - either as sliders or on a flatbread. Jammers restaurant: Cheryl is the hostess and another lovely lady. Try the quinoa salad. The burgers are also thick and well cooked. The catch of the day is a sure winner. Sharon has been there quite a while and is wonderful. Dragonfly: best brunch! Omelets to order and wonderful island bread. Abundant side choices. Mary hosts the evening buffets. She is terrific. Then there is the Spa.... Beautiful facility that boasts a steam room. There are rooms that can accommodate a couple for a massage. We have been blessed to have very strong but attentive masseuses. And, they don’t try to upcharge. They are professionals. Then the water sports.... ocean kayaks, paddle boats, stand up paddle boards, snorkel gear, hobie cats... The staff is top notch. They really look out for you. There can be crazy winds in the bay and they have you in their sights at all times.... Stanley, Jameson, Shurandi (yes, butchering another name), Anthony, oh goodness, so many really help young men... sorry guys that I cannot remember you. I will bring a pad next time! Then there are the drivers that circulate throughout the resort...prompt, professional, personable. And the housekeeping is top notch. We are owners so we had housekeeping every day - including dishwashing! In reading some reviews... yes to some of the concerns. The fact that it is on a steep hill - which maximizes every unit’s view - cannot be changed. But Scott, the new manager, is really making great strides in every other area. Oh, I forgot... virtually every night, there is live entertainment at the Jammer’s bar... and good entertainment. Including Ronald “Boo” Hinkson.
