Irresistibly entertaining
Chaotic, frenzied and utterly entertaining, Pattaya offers a heady cocktail of sun, sea and fun. Perfect for a winter getaway, the best time to visit is from November to March for ultimate paradise.
Ideal for both couples and families, Pattaya boasts three waterparks to help keep you cool, while there are also plenty of golf courses, more so than in the rest of Thailand, with epic greens and fantastic facilities. We highly recommend visiting the Four Regions floating market: Pattaya’s only water market where you can experience local living and indulge in excellent Thai fare.
Bangkok is the perfect city to combine with Pattaya and is just a one hour drive away. If you’re after a more laidback affair after touring the island, why not head to Koh Samet for a spot of tranquillity and relaxation?

Frequently Asked Questions
It’s about 150 kilometres (94 miles) from Bangkok to Pattaya, and how long it takes to drive between the two does depend on traffic. You’d usually be looking at a max of 2 hours in off-peak times but this can be more during rush hour and on Fridays as everyone heads down to Pattaya for the weekend.
The northern area of Pattaya is the quietest place to stay. If you enjoy lazing around the pool at your hotel but would still like to have handy access to the rest of the city then one of the hotels in this area would be perfect.
