The Naka Island Resort and Spa

Exclusive Boutique Resort on Secluded Island

The Naka Island is an exclusive resort on Naka Yai Island, located just off the Phuket coast, accessible only by speedboat.  This boutique resort is a peaceful hideaway where you can spend time alone, or join in with one of the complimentary classes that take place each day.

The pool villas are positioned for upmost privacy. The bathroom or rather, the outdoor bath is the pièce de résistance. A covered walkway edged with tropical plants leads out of the bedroom, through to the shower (which also turns into a private steam room at the click of the button) outside and to the sunken bath. Tucked into its own sheltered alcove with in-built shelves for candles at night, it’s quite possibly the most romantic and relaxing bathing experience you’ll ever have.

Wellness is taken to a new, enticing level with offerings such as a fitness centre in natural jungle surroundings, meditation on a small islet, and boot camp sessions on the beach.

With three dining options available, you will be spoilt for choice when it comes to what to eat – but all three come with amazing panoramic seaview’s.

The Island Life

Following a total travel time of 22 hours, all we wanted was to get to our hotel, complete a prompt check-in, and have our luggage secured in our room so that we could finally lie in a comfortable bed and brush off our sleepiness. Fortunately, we were able to check off all of the above quite smoothly. From the complimentary boat ride to the hotel in the blue ocean to the spectacular service and staff, we enjoyed each moment that we were at the Naka Island! Wonderful stay and perfect escape

Santa Ana, California

We stayed here for 4 nights and had the best time. We booked a seaview pool villa. We booked the hotel's airport car service roundtrip from the airport to the marina to make sure we had a seamless experience. Everything went smoothly and it didn't take very long for us to get to the hotel. We arrived around 8pm. We were taken directly to our villa, # 48, which is the very furthest one away that faces the resort. It's also located next to Z bar but we never heard a thing from there. Our villa was so quiet and private, it was wonderful. We checked-in at our villa and were oriented to the whole compound. We really didn't appreciate the beauty of the villa and resort until we woke up the next day and saw it in the daylight. The grounds are wonderful with nature everywhere. It really feels like a private island. We found the breakfast buffet to be more than enough. We also tried a massage at the spa, but since it is being renovated massages were located in unused villas. So we didn't get the whole spa experience with the sauna and steam room. We actually never left the resort the whole time we were there except to ride bikes around the island. We spent lots of time doing nothing and relaxing in the villa. We loved the indoor/outdoor arrangement of the villa. I'm sure it's not for everyone, but we loved it because it immersed you in the tropical environment. The hardest thing we had to decide was what drink to have for happy hour at Z bar. We had dinner twice at Tonsal and had very good Thai food each night. We saved our last dinner for My Grill since it's a nicer restaurant. We found 4 nights to be enough of a stay. Any longer than that and we might have gone a little stir crazy and decided to leave the island for some excursions. I've read that some people have issues with what happens to the beach/bay during low tide. It didn't bother me. I thought it was interesting to see the life that exists at low tide. The tide breaks up the day and everyone seemed to go do something else. We were lucky that the resort was at a very low capacity, so we never waited for anything. It was a perfect holiday.
