Upon arrival in Singapore, take a private transfer to your hotel and the rest of your time is at leisure visit to explore the wonders of this amazing city.

Overnight Accommodation

Check-in for the train takes place at the prestigious Raffles Hotel. From there you will transfer to Woodland Railway Station where you will settle into your cabin and enjoy afternoon tea as the train crosses the Causeway Bridge into Malaysia. Take in the passing scenery of palm trees lining the track with the distant hills in the background. Dress up and make your way to the bar car for cocktails before proceeding to the restaurant for dinner. Afterwards you will have the opportunity to disembark for a stroll when the train pauses at Kuala Lumpur's magnificent station.

After breakfast arrive at Kuala Kangsar, the picturesque royal town of Perak and the official residence of the Sultan of Perak. Enjoy an excursion to the grand Ubudiah Mosque, the Royal Museum of Perak and the Sultan Shah Gallery. Enjoy lunch back on board, passing rice fields with limestone outcrops on the horizon as you continue towards Padang Besar where Malaysia meets Thailand. Why not spend the afternoon watching the changing scenery from the open deck of the Observation Car?

After breakfast, the train arrives at the River Kwai Bridge Station. Alight here for a cruise along the picturesque Kwai Yai River, while a local historian provides a brief history of the Thailand-Burma railway and the bridge. Take a coach to the Thailand-Burma Railway Centre, with time to visit the Don Rak War Cemetery. Afterwards, re-join the coach back to Kanchanaburi Railway Station, where your journey continues with lunch on board. Arrive into Bangkok late afternoon.
