Death Valley National Park Holidays
Death Valley National Park holidays provide the perfect blend of breath-taking natural scenic views, exhilarating hikes through colourful canyons, and fascinating landmarks such as Badwater Basin.
Death Valley is the ideal destination for families, couples and solo travellers who have an adventurous side and want to unearth a world of wonder and geological phenomena.
Visit Badwater Basin, which is the lowest part in North America. At 282 feet below sea level this incredible salt flat provides a truly out-of-this-world experience and features a surreal landscape for explorers to discover. Capture the dramatic landscapes of the luminous sand dunes, the sculpted rock formations and the picturesque imposing mountains that tower over the salt flats.
Death Valley is the driest place in North America and is known as one of the hottest places in the world, but despite this there’s still a wealth of wildlife to spot, such as kangaroo rats, bighorn sheep, jackrabbits, kit fox, greater roadrunners, and pupfish.
Visit Death Valley National Park for adventure
Learn more about the captivating landscape of Death Valley by taking a trip to the Furnace Creek Visitor Centre. It’s here where you can talk to expert rangers about the local area, check out exhibits on geology and Native American life, and watch the short 20 minute orientation film. Hike along a volcano and stare down into the 600 foot deep abyss of the Ubehebe Crater. The one-and-a-half mile trail takes you along the rim of the volcano and offers impressive views over the national park. Delve into the history of the landscape by exploring some of Death Valley’s ruins, which include Panamint City and Scotty’s Castle.
