Long Beach and business

Lubbock, Texas

I had a business conference in Long Beach and had a great experience at the Hotel Maya. The rooms were comfortable, the staff very friendly and accommodating. Quaint shops along the pier were close by and great restaurants as well.

Don't expect your diamond status to be recognized here...

Denver, Colorado

As a long-time Hilton diamond member, the return on status continues to erode compared to other programs like Bonvoy. This was certainly the case at the Hotel Maya. After a walk around the property, it became overwhelmingly clear that despite my status, I was assigned literally the worst room on the property (1103). My view was a brown stucco wall and utilities. The property itself seems like a cool concept, but it's gotten a little long in the tooth. It's also very dirty. The floors were so filthy that my feet left dirt marks in the tub when showering. Additionally the sink was clogged - a problem that had clearly been there for a very long time. With the exception of David, the front desk agent, the service was fairly good.
