Santa Monica Holidays

A holiday in Santa Monica revolves around a combination of glamourous, luxurious living, and a rich, hometown vibe. These holidays promise something for everyone, whether you are shopping for hours on Third Street Promenade, or cycling the Marvin Braude Bike Trail and taking in the coastal city’s most awe-inspiring views.

Most Santa Monica holidays are a natural continuation of an overall charming trip to Los Angeles. The swanky city is a must as it offers a lavish beach add on to your LA getaway. Once you’re surrounded by the refreshing, balmy seaside air, the Santa Monica Pier should be your first stop. Not only will it take you closer to the ocean, it will also take you to some of the best action and parties in Los Angeles.

The pier plays host to numerous events and activities throughout the year and is home to an array of foodie-friendly restaurants and eateries, serving up anything and everything from seafood to salad. Here, you will also find Pacific Park (and its ferris wheel), the Playland Arcade, and the Santa Monica Aquarium.

From here, consider hiring a bike and exploring the city via the Marvin Braude Bike Trail. The paved trail is embraced by a number of sky-high palm trees, extends 22 miles and winds enthusiastically along the shoreline through Venice Beach, Hermosa Beach, and Redondo Beach.

Luxurious living on Santa Monica holidays

No matter where you are in Santa Monica, the far reaching theme is luxury – even the sandy beaches are glamorous. And if you really want to indulge during your Santa Monica holidays and make the most of this trademark lavish lifestyle, the best place to visit is Third Street Promenade. Originally built in the mid-1960s, the premier shopping and dining district is housed in downtown Santa Monica and draws in big spenders from all around Los Angeles. It is particularly beautiful during the festive season when thousands of fairy lights adorn each and every tree in the vicinity.

Once you’ve had your fill of retail therapy, be sure to head over to Palisades Park at sunset. It’s perched on top of the coastal sandstone bluffs and allows for jaw-dropping views of the crashing Pacific Ocean and the vast Santa Monica skyline. Want to explore further? Pair Santa Monica with a holiday to HollywoodBeverly Hills or downtown Los Angeles.
