California Coastal Chic Hotel

Right on the Pacific ocean, with the Marina on your doorstep, the Hyatt Regency Mission Bay Resort & Spa has just had a fantastic 5 million transformation. It's a coastal oasis in the heart of the Mission Bay area - rooms are stylish and modern with great views of the city or ocean. Close to Seaworld(R) and the San Diego Zoo the kids will love their days out but there's so much onsite as well to make the msot of this marina side location. San Diego's Gaslamp Quarter is a short drive away, and you can take in the gorgeous vistas as you stroll along the beachfront boardwalk. <br />

Great hotel, but definitely more geared to families

Los Angeles, California

I came down to San Diego for a quick one night getaway. The hotel staff is awesome - super warm, friendly and willing to help out. It seems like they’re a bit short-staffed for the number of people that check in at this hotel, so I would absolutely recommend getting a World of Hyatt credit card so you can have extra perks, like a dedicated line at check-in, upgrades and other cool perks. I got an awesome upgrade to a king suite corner view, from just a normal king bedroom, which was awesome! The room was amazing, two televisions, a couch, a table, a balcony with two seats and a big comfortable bed. It was super spacious. The hotel can be a little tricky to get to, but it’s super convenient to some of the best spots San Diego has to offer. CONS They do have a few pools on premises, but they are usually filled with screaming children all day. The hot tub is also filled to the brim with people. I would probably skip that. Don’t expect to take a peaceful swim during the summer if you stay here. The noise from the pool extends out to most of the rooms in the tower. Parking is $40 per night. There’s some free street parking, but they don’t allow cars to park overnight from 2am to 4am, essentially eliminating the opportunity to score some free parking. I love the quality Hyatt has to offer, but just based on my personal preferences, I would not stay here until I had my own family. I would probably stay at the Grand Hyatt in Downtown or the Andaz.

Great place

Charleston, South Carolina

Overall, very nice place. Fun for all. Valet guys were great! Restaurant Fun. Pool was cold but nice to just sit outside. Sales person at gift shop was rude. Maybe just a bad/ long day for her? All good otherwise.
