Great Hotel and Great Location

Not wanting to stay at a resort hotel for our Florida holiday we chose Rosen Shingle Creek for our 11 night stay. This was a great choice with 3 pools and a selection of excellent restaurants on site. Bedrooms were big and spacious and were cleaned to a high standard every single day. Beds are very comfy. We tended to use Uber for most of our trips....this meant that we could have a couple of drinks if we chose to when we were out and not have to worry about the car. Although you're not in the hub of all the parks you're still pretty central and a cab ride takes 10-15 minutes depending on where you wanted to go. Wi-fi signal very good in the room although a bit frustrating that you have to log-in each day. Staff at the hotel were excellent......if you go to the main bar in the place and you get served by either Marlene or Faith then you're in for a treat. I don't think i've ever met two members of staff who are genuinely as nice as these - hardworking but always having the time to talk to their customers. The only thing I can criticize is that the restaurants and bars are a little bit more expensive than some of the other places we went to. I think this is because the venue has a lot of business people going through it and because of this they charge a little bit more due to a lot of the customers not caring as they claim it back as a business expense. However, do not this put you off.....the quality of food and drink is excellent. I will definitely stay here again.......

I Would Stay Here Again

Washington DC, District of Columbia

I was at the Rosen Shingle Creek for a conference and I was pleasantly surprised. I go to a fair amount of conferences, so my expectations are generally low. The meeting rooms are very spacious and elegantly decorated. I got in super early and they upgraded my reservation to a suite for free since that was open. I loved it! It was a bit awkward since it was just me, but if I had a group of friends, that would have been one heck of a party. The hotel is close to Universal, but a bit of a drive to Disney. It was about a $15-$20 Uber to Magic Kingdom. I had some time to spend at the parks, though there is so much to do at Shingle Creek that I could have stayed and had a full day at the hotel. I absolutely loved the little food court available. It's nice to have options, especially not having a car or wanting to go far. The Mexican place was so delicious, great service (Wolfe was fabulous!!), and the margarita was giant. The food itself is a reason to come to this hotel! My only regret is that I wasn't there long enough to use the pool or spa! I will definitely have to come back. This place is a destination itself!
