The Palm Beaches Holidays

Palm Beach was once best known as the winter playground for America’s rich and famous – the Rockefeller and Kennedy families used to holiday here. It has retained it quintessential American holiday charm; smart shopping streets, sightseeing cruises, lush golf courses and pristine beaches, and remains one of the most exclusive resorts in Florida. With year-round sunshine and world-class hotels, this is the perfect destination for an indulgent and relaxing holiday.

As with most of America, Palm Beach is geared up for driving but it is a compact resort so a combination of walking and public transport will allow you to get around easily. A car is useful if you are planning to explore more of The Palm Beaches area such as Delray Beach, Boca Raton and Lake Worth. Book yourself on to a sightseeing tour, either on a boat or 1920s style trolley bus which will take you back to the golden age of American holidays.

  • Juno Beach and Jupiter Beach

This traditional main street in West Palm Beach plays host to many events and festivals throughout the year. It is jam-packed with restaurants and bars and leads down to the waterfront yacht harbor and views over Lake Worth Lagoon – a great spot for an evening cocktail.

  • Lake Worth

Head north from Palm Beach and you will stumble upon these quaint towns with their peaceful beaches. Set time aside to visit the Marine Life Center with its turtle rehabilitation center, before heading up to Jupiter Beach which is home to the area’s oldest landmark; the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse.

  • Delray Beach

A haven for artists and free spirits, this enclave just to the south of Palm Beach is a quaint and culturally diverse town and is home to the Historical Museum and the Palm Beach Institute of Contemporary Art.

  • Festivals and events

This thriving and trendy beach town is both creative and stylish with a laid-back attitude. Galleries, murals, and public art are combined with casual waterfront seafood restaurants, and a powdery sand beach to make this a great resort to visit or stay for a few nights. In fact the beach here is one of the few in Florida with a view of the Gulf Stream which presents a bright blue streak around 5 miles offshore.
