Beautiful Location and Hotel

Seattle, Washington

We booked a week long stay at the Fairmont using Costco Travel and took advantage of an excellent deal. The hotel itself is well maintained, the rooms spacious, and the bathrooms clean and well equipped. The staff is extremely friendly and attentive. The pool area is very large, my only complaint is the water temperature in the pool was a bit warm. Many chairs surround the pool, some with shade covers. Private cabanas and round couch chairs were available for rent. It can get busy in the later morning, but in general I didn't have a problem finding a spot to camp out. There were three hammocks in the area which were nice. We didn't eat at the restaurants although take out at the Brown's Deli was good, and I liked the pizza which I though was a great deal at $10. The beach area was nice - there are lava reefs extending on both sides which kind of limited the surf, but made the swimming area safer. There also was surprisingly good snorkeling right off the beach on both sides of the reef. While not Hanauma Bay snorkeling, there was a nice variety of colorful fish and an occasional turtle. Running in Mauna Lani was great - a 4.5 mile round trip from the Fairmont to the highway where you enter the resort area was a good workout with much of the first half being uphill. Runners also can venture from the Fairmont to the Mauna Lani beach club on the other side of the resort for a slightly longer run. Families, couples, conventioneers, and everyone else can find much to like at the Fairmont Orchid!

Perfect Visit!

Kapolei, Hawaii

My wife, myself and a friend stayed at the Fairmont Orchid November 2018, so please pardon the late review. We were there for four nights. It was our first stay at this Fairmont and I can confidently say it will not be our last! The hotel is beautiful, the staff were so helpful, friendly, courteous & professional. The amenities (pool, restaurants, valet, etc) were excellent. Full disclosure: we are Accor Platinum members. Since we live on O'ahu, we wanted to take advantage of our Accor benefits so we chose the Orchid as our staycation getaway. Needless to say, we will be returning again very soon! The room (Executive Suite, ocean view) was quite large. The view was amazing. The location of the hotel is exceptional! This was one of our top hotel stays ever!
