Try the lobster pie

Kennebunk, Maine

The lobster pie here has won numerous culinary awards. We like to sit in the bar area which is quite informal and comfortable. We haven’t been in a few months but plan a visit quite soon. Kennebunk Village is a wonderfully preserved colonial era town with many structures of historical significance. It has a great ,small downtown with retails shops and some great bakeries, coffee shops and restaurants. We love visiting the Kennebunk Inn as well as the rest of this charming, very walkable downtown.

Kennebunkport Inn is quaint

The Inn is located steps away from everything. They have a nice parking lot and give you a parking pass as parking is challenging in this area. The Inn itself is very quaint. I do not recommend staying in the rooms in the main inn as they are very dated. Also, there are no elevators and you have to carry your luggage up stairs. Make sure you verify the “continental breakfast” as this was 1 croissant for 2 people in a bag left on our door. There was coffee and juice at the bar to serve yourself. The room we stayed in had a small old window unit for AC - evidently this is a “thing” in Maine. Even had I known all of this prior to booking, I would have stayed here anyway. The customer service was great, the location is perfect, the Inn is pretty, and you feel like you are staying with friends. It is similar to a bed and breakfast but minus the food!
