New York City – Best time to go

Best time to visit

New York is a year round destination, each season has something different to offer from a winter wonderland when covered in snow to the clear blue crisp skies of early spring. From Spring and summer where you can picnic in Central Park, take a trip to Coney Island, eat at the sidewalk cafes and enjoy cocktails from a rooftop bar.

We love heading to Central Park in autumn when the leaves start to change colour to burnt oranges and vibrant reds. If you are in town for Thanksgiving watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and then head to the Black Friday sales. The Wednesday after Thanksgiving the annual lighting of the Christmas tree at the Rockefeller Center takes places.  Winter can be very cold and the winds between Avenues bitter, so as long as you are wrapped up it will be bearable. Pick up a pair of skates and ice skate at the Rockefeller Plaza and afterwards indulge in a cup of steaming hot chocolate, the perfect end to a winter’s day.
