Decorations and location say it all

Hong Kong, China

Usually I don’t expect much in a prominent hotel - they may welcome celebrities from time to time and may not care much about ‘nobodies’ like me. But Edgewater the kinda pop landmark was quite an exception. Staff were polite and attended to my requests. The check in and out processes were efficient. As the caption says, it’s location and decorations say it all. It is within walking distance to the pier (Ferris wheel) and Pike Place Market. On a sunny day on June, the waterfront view was calm and charming. The decorations with fireplaces in common areas and inside the room give a very homely feel. The well-decorated Wall of Fame beside the windows facing the sea was definitely a highlight. Should there be a warmer welcome, I would have given it 5 stars perfect. But of course this is minor, just a reflection of the value based on the charges paid.

Hotel stay was fine, it had everything we needed. We were not advised of $50 per night parking fee and we did not use the amenities but still had to pay a resort fee per night per person. There was also a train that passed several times during early morning hours.
