Hotel Monaco Seattle, A Kimpton Hotel

Luxury in the centre of downtown Seattle

The Monaco is one of Seattle’s top hotels and was recognised by Fodor as one of the top 100 hotels in the world. Expect lavish, elegant interiors, premium dining and luxurious facilities. For a day of relaxation you can indulge in an in-room spa treatment before you head to the city streets outside or instead push for the burn at the modern fitness centre if you want to stay active. Of course, you’ll probably want to enjoy a good meal in too so why not head to Sazerac and sample contemporary American cuisine at one of Seattle’s liveliest dining rooms. Add to all this a winning location and you’ll see why this hotel is highly praised.

Amazing Service, With A Side Of Muppets

“A little backstory: my husband and I were a little sleep-deprived and punchy the night we checked in, and somehow, we referenced the Big Bird "we ride at dawn, b****es!" meme (representing a brain on three hours of sleep), which then lead to chatting with Antares (Front Desk Manager, and an absolutely lovely person) about Jim Henson and telling some interesting stories about him (I read the Brian Jay Jones biography a few years ago; I recommend). Fast forward to the following night, when we were pleasantly surprised by a gift of a trio of red wine samples, a trio of chocolates, and a card from Antares featuring Kermit the Frog, also enjoying some wine. None of it was necessary, all of it was thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated. Muppets aside, I cannot say enough good things about the Kimpton Hotel Monaco. Every member of the staff we encountered was incredibly friendly and helpful (they even acquired some cardboard and scissors to help me make a firmer "frame" to protect some vintage paper ephemera my husband bought and we needed to transport). The breakfasts we had in Outlier were delicious, the location was convenient, our suite was spacious, immaculate, and comfortable, and I even enjoyed the bath products so much, I took photos so I could remember what I used and acquire them for myself. I travel a lot, and I'm an experienced traveler. Nice hotels are harder to find these days, but not it's not impossible. Kimpton Hotel Monaco made our stay *personal*, which is incredibly rare. One of our best travel experiences ever, and certainly one of the most memorable.”

very nice

The Kimpton Hotel Vintage Seattle manages to take advantage of all that Downtown Seattle has to offer -- hardly a car or public transit needed. It’s a 10-minute walk to the Washington State Convention Center, and just a few blocks away from theaters, great restaurants, and high-end shops, like Louis Vuitton and Gucci. Westlake Center is equally close, with its full-on food court and access to the Monorail, the iconic elevated train that whisks you over to the Seattle Center (home of the Space Needle) in a mere two minutes. Famous Pike Place Market is just a 15-minute walk away. Cruise ship terminals can be reached in about five minutes by car, while Sea-Tac International Airport is a 20-minute drive south.
