Palomar Philadelphia - a Kimpton Hotel

Art-Deco elegance, inner city location

The Kimpton Palomar Philadelphia is a luxury period hotel situated in the city centre of Philadelphia. Like any Kimpton hotel, this one tells a story and that story is ‘Art in Motion’ – something that is immediately apparent upon arrival. The hotel is set in one of the most striking Art Deco buildings in the city and features a beautiful interior that blends period design with contemporary styling. After its $92 million renovation project in recent years, the hotel has gained ‘green’ status for its contribution to environmental design. There are plenty of refined facilities too including the Square 1682 Restaurant, a modern fitness centre and a hosted evening wine hour in the hotel’s charming living room.

Move on

Naperville, Illinois

First let me say that I love Kimptons and am usually very happy. I will also say that the front desk person when I checked in was fantastic and accommodated my request to be moved to another room when I first arrived and was given a room in which I could practically touch all four walls from the bed. You could not move between the bed and dresser without turning sideways. The second room is slightly larger but no better. What I love about kimptons is the character, upscale finishes and comfortable beds. This property has none of those. The pillows are so lumpy I can’t even use them - I don’t even want to think about how old they are. The carpet is covered in lint. The furniture looks like it came from a holiday inn express and is scratched. The bathroom is extremely dated. I wish I had selected the other Kimpton in town or a different property. Won’t be back.

Good Find On Hotel Tonight

Danielle at the front desk was very accommodating. She made us feel like stars. We ( My wife and 3 year old son) were only staying for a night and although travelling with a toddler can be tough the staff made it as smooth as possible.
