The hotel has a great location like access to the mall it also has a great interior design, the beds were so comfortable however, I was disappointed. Dear manager what kind of staff is this? I got really annoyed by the housekeeping service. The worker annoyed me by the way she knocked, she had no patience and it was too early. What also bothered me is the hygiene, the housekeeper seemed to not be doing her job correctly she was just trying to “be done with it.” Also the catering service, there isn’t much of food options I’ve been ordering the same thing for couple of days, they would also forget one of my orders and they did that couple of times. For example, I would ask the worker to get my 2 orange juice she would end up getting me one or totally forget about the order. Lastly, I planned to stay more than two weeks at this hotel but after the disappointing experience I went through I decided to check out after four days. I hope it improves!

Great location. Very bad experience

The Westin Oaks is conveniently located In Houston with direct access to Galleria Mall. I had booked an executive suite which offers an expansive loft style room with a decently sized lounge area and and large bathroom with comfortable walk-in shower. Upon check-in I had requested a quiet room, but were given a room on the 9th floor overseeing a very large ventilation system which made a heavy noise. I came back to the lobby to request a room change and the person at the front desk offered me « an upgraded » room on the 19th floor, which Turned out to be a tiny minuscule standard room 1/3rd the size of my room category. Upon returning to the lobby for the 3rd time I expressed my surprise about this « upgrade » and the parson simply said « this is our only available quiet option ». After discussing with her and her colleague, I was finally allocated a room on the 8th floor which oversaw a busy street with the promise to be contacted the next day in order to be moved on a higher floor. Off course, no one ever contacted me and I was tired of moving rooms, so I did not do anything about it. And that turned out to be the service signature of the hotel. I called several times for my laundry to be picked up, yet no one ever came. I ended up bringing two shirts down to the concierge myself, and was told I would receive them the same evening. Off course nothing was delivered and I thought I would receive them the next morning. Yet nothing. After calling the service line 4 times with each time the promise to be called back (they never do) and the operator hanging up on me, I got upset and asked to speak to a manager as I need my shirts for business appointments the same day. They promised he would call « in a few minutes » yet 15mn later still no one calling. I got contacted by a manager after 25mn to learn my shirts were never sent out to be cleaned and received a flat apology... All I was left with to do was to go down to the mall, and get myself a new shirt.
