Standing 56 foot high atop Red Mountain, the Vulcan observation balcony also offers one of the best panoramic views of the city, ideal for capturing a few photos of your trip.

If you are looking for a great night out, then Birmingham has plenty of lively entertainment districts to keep you occupied. Head uptown to find a mix of bars, coffee shops, or for something a little different a night out at Gip’s Place in nearby Bessemer is one of the last juke joints in the USA where you can experience live Blues and a friendly welcome.

Birmingham also offers visitors some fantastic shopping opportunities, from the quirky shops along 3rd Avenue North to the Villages of Mountain Brook where you can find boutique stores, artisan bakeries and art galleries.
