Itinerary Breakdown

Arrive into Los Angeles and make your own way to the departure hotel where you will meet your EagleRider Tour Leader and fellow riders over a welcome dinner. The rest of the evening is yours to explore LA's nightlife or just get a good night's sleep.

After enjoying a hearty breakfast and picking up your motorcycle, the moment you have been waiting for has arrived. Heading south, you will ride the mountain roads to Lake Elsinore before continuing through the roads of San Bernardino National Forest before arriving in Palm Springs.

Today you will journey through Joshua Tree National Park before joining the legendary Historic Route 66, which will be your cruise road all the way to Laughlin in Nevada.

Ride through Oatman and onto Kingman, which is considered to be the heart of the historic road as it is in the middle of the longest remaining stretch of Route 66. Head out on a northern loop through the Hualapai Indian Reservation and continue to ride towards the majestic Grand Canyon.

Spend the morning inside the breath-taking Grand Canyon National Park taking in fantastic views, then cruise along the South Rim before leaving the national park and heading towards the magnificent Wild West landscape of Monument Valley. Get into the Indian spiritual mood for your overnight stay in Kayenta.

From Kayenta you will ride up to Sleepy Mexican Hat, a gold mining camp,and onto the Valley of the Gods, which is where much of the movie 'Thelma and Louise' was filmed. You then cross the Colorado River where it pours into Lake Powell before riding along the southern tip of Capitol Reef National Park in the state of Utah. Roar on up the Devil's Backbone through the Escalante Wilderness en route to Bryce Canyon.

The morning will give you time to experience Bryce Canyon before continuing to Zion National Park. Here you will be in for one challenging ride - the switchbacks of Zion. This epic national park offers a stronger sense of nature compared to the likes of Yosemite and the Grand Canyon but it won't be long before the short ride of Zion comes to an end and you're journeying into Nevada and hitting the bright lights of Las Vegas.

Today gives you a little rest from the back of your bike and is all your own to do whatever you fancy. Explore the famed Las Vegas 'Strip', try your luck in the casinos, head downtown to where it all began at the Mob Museum or just relax in one of the many mesmerising spas or pools Vegas has to offer.

From Las Vegas you head west and back into California; across Death Valley. Eroded rock formations and sharply silhouetted hills provide the back drop to an area known as one of the hottest places on earth. Ride the mountain curves hundreds of feet below sea level to the basin of Death Valley before venturing further west along Sequoia National Park and up to Mammoth Lakes.

Leave Mammoth Lakes behind and take on the epic Tioga Pass and the beautiful scenery along this road. Wind through granite canyons and flexing turns for miles ahead before entering the glorious mother of all national parks - Yosemite. Ride over to El Portal for your overnight stay.

Today you will ride through Yosemite National Park before heading west to San Francisco. Stop over in Sausalito, a quaint seaside town that was once a hot spot for drunken sailors but is now a very refined place. After giving yourself time for a bit of lunch and beautiful views across the bay, it's off to the Golden Gate Bridge, riding straight into the heart of San Francisco.

Today is your day to enjoy the beautiful city of San Francisco and a day off from riding. This is your opportunity to get out and do some sightseeing, and there are many options to choose from. Hop on the famous San Francisco cable cars, take a trip to Alcatraz, or experience one of the Napa Valley wine tours.

Today you will get your first taste of one of the best motorcycle rides in the world - the legendary Pacific Coast Highway 1. Get those cameras ready; the scenery is simply spectacular as you cruise alongside the Pacific Ocean. Monterey is home to world famous Laguna Seca Automobile and Motorcycle Racetrack and a fantastic 'Aquarium of the Sea'; the Monterey Bay Aquarium.

Continue further along the Pacific Coast Highway taking in the miles and miles of rocky cliffs, redwood grove-lined river canyons, and the St Lucia Mountains. Cruise past San Simeon, Cambria, and Morro Bay before you arrive at the beautiful coastal resort of Pismo Beach.

Ride the final miles along the Pacific Coast Highway 1 today and return to the city where this amazing journey all began - Los Angeles.

At Santa Maria you will turn inland to enjoy the great back roads and views as you cruise straight to Malibu, Santa Monica, and onto Venice Beach. Return your trusted motorcycles before reminiscing with your fellow riders at the EagleRider 'Goodbye' dinner.
