New York to Hollywood Escorted Tour

Our New York to Hollywood tour promises a full spectrum look at the best the United States has to offer. Travel from the East Coast all the way through to the West Coast in just over two weeks. 

Your trip commences in the bustling state of New York with New York City  being your first stop. The following day, you’ll head over to Philadelphia for an educational look into America’s road to independence, followed by two nights in the nation’s capital, Washington D.C. There, you will catch sight of the White House, Arlington National Cemetery, and the U.S. Capitol Building. 

Move through Gettysburg to cross the Canadian border into Niagara Falls where you’ll marvel at the majesty of the three thundering waterfalls. Walk along Table Rock for a closer view of Horseshoe Falls, the largest and most powerful of the three waterfalls, before heading back to Detroit. 

Learn all about America’s automotive innovations at the Ford Rouge Factory, as well as the Henry Ford Museum. Chicago, ‘the windy city’, is your next stop. Explore the city’s highlights and then proceed to cross the Mississippi River into Sioux Falls, which is well-known for its exquisite parks and greenways.  

Admire Mother Nature’s creations as you tour through Badlands National Park before viewing Mount Rushmore, constructed in 1941 in honour of the four depicted U.S. presidents. Ahead of entering the state of Wyoming and its diverse landscapes, you’ll stop for the night in Rapid City. 

Yellowstone National Park affords you the opportunity to catch a glimpse of rare creatures such as the grizzly bear, the black-footed ferret, and the grey wolf. You will stop by Grand Teton National Park on your way to Utah, where a tour of its capital, Salt Lake City, awaits. 

Bryce Canyon National Park and Grand Canyon National Park are also on the agenda. Viewing the Grand Canyon is undoubtedly a highlight, allowing you to gaze down at the mile-deep sinking gorges, sharp spires and, just below the rim, the gushing Colorado River.

Travel from Flagstaff to Las Vegas via Route 66. Enjoy the many thrills on offer along the Las Vegas Strip before moving through the Mojave Desert to Los Angeles. Here, you can expect a glamour-filled tour of Hollywood, the Sunset Strip and the most opulent parts of Beverly Hills before hopping aboard your return flight home.

We’ll depart New York early this morning and move on to the ‘city of brotherly love’ and the birthplace of the nation: Philadelphia. Take a photograph in front of the Liberty Bell, a strong symbol of American Independence, as you stroll past the green lawns of Independence National Historical Park. From here, you’ll pick up on your journey once again with Washington D.C., the nation’s capital, as your final stop for the day.

Day three consists of an extensive sightseeing tour, which takes you to various iconic highlights of the city, such as the White House, Lincoln Memorial, the U.S. Capitol Building, and Arlington National Cemetery, where the JFK Memorial is housed. 

Your afternoon can be spent at your own leisure. Explore the museums of the Smithsonian Institute if you’re keen to delve deeper into the culture and history of the area. If you’d rather spend the time winding down and people-watching, you can’t go wrong with a slow walk along the banks of the Potomac River. You might even be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of the famed American bald eagle or the great blue heron.

Niagara Falls

Your morning today begins with a calming drive from Washington D.C. to Gettysburg, a friendly town in Pennsylvania. Here, you will pay a visit to the Gettysburg National Military and its abundant corn fields, wheat fields and dairy park. It is also the exact spot at which Abraham Lincoln gave his infamous address and the northernmost battle of the American Civil War. 

Your tour will then take you to Buffalo, where you’ll cross the border into Canada to visit Niagara Falls – the ‘honeymoon capital of the world’.

The thundering of the waterfalls holds your attention, and the light, misty spray of the waters lingers on your skin, as you marvel at the majesty of the world-renowned Niagara Falls. Take a walk along Table Rock for a closer view of Horseshoe Falls, the largest of the three waterfalls, and feel the spray and energy of these impressive falls. 

It’s time to return to the USA in the late afternoon and head back to Detroit. Venture off to bed early or mission out once again to explore the area’s exuberant nightlife.

Your morning in the ‘motor city’ is unsurprisingly filled with motors as you tour the Ford Rouge Factory, as well as the Henry Ford Museum – a celebration of both Henry Ford himself and the many innovative contributions of male and female pioneers in the automotive industry. 

Your journey then continues inland towards Chicago, and the third largest city in the USA.

Prepare yourself for a delightful morning of adventures through Chicago and its many highlights. You’ll tour along the Magnificent Mile, Chicago’s busy commercial district, and take in the maritime beauty of the shoreline as you move along Lake Shore Drive and savour the views on Navy Pier. 

Spend the rest of your day at leisure. Enjoy Chicago’s delicious cuisine in world-class restaurants, head to huge shopping malls, or spend the day wandering through art galleries and parks.

Move through the tranquil countryside before crossing the Mississippi River into the state of Iowa. You will spend the evening in Sioux Falls - a city best known for its exquisite parks and greenways.

There’s a lot to see and do today, so make an early start as you travel through the lush greenery of Sioux Falls on your way to Badlands National Park. Here, you’ll gaze in awe at more of Mother Nature’s mesmerising creations in the form of steep canyons and sprawling grasslands. 

From Badlands National Park, head to the famous Mount Rushmore, featuring the incredible sculpture of U.S. presidents George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt, and Abraham Lincoln. Completed in the early 1940s, this powerful monument has a fascinating history. 

You’ll spend the night in Rapid City, just half an hour away from Mount Rushmore.

Today, it’s time to head over to Wyoming - a dynamic state known for its diverse landscape. From craggy mountains to sandy deserts, there is plenty to admire as you make your way to Cody. En route, make a special stop at the Bighorn Mountains, which form a spur from the Rocky Mountains nearby. Spend the evening in Cody, which is within easy reach of Yellowstone National Park.

Your tour will depart early for Yellowstone National Park – the first national park to be opened in America. Your day will be spent touring through this incredible space, taking in the sights of spurting geysers, cascading waterfalls, never-ending canyons, and a host of wonderful wildlife. Yellowstone National Park is home to numerous rare creatures, including the grizzly bear, the black-footed ferret, and the grey wolf. Your expert guide will help you track and spot these incredible creatures in their natural habitats.

This morning, travel through Grand Teton National Park on your way to Salt Lake City. This fascinating national park is home to fascinating landscapes, which consist of towering mountains and luscious valleys. Stop off at Snake River Outlook, which is the perfect place for pictures of the winding river, snowy mountains, and the park’s emerald forests. 

The afternoon includes a short tour of Utah’s capital, Salt Lake City. Visit historic Temple Square and Tabernacle, as well as the State Capitol Building, for an insight into the city’s storied past.

You’re in for more natural wonders today as you venture into Bryce Canyon National Park, a colourful expanse filled with pink cliffs, red rocks, and endless vistas. Spend the day exploring along the winding roads through the park, or head out on walking and hiking trails as you make the most of the spectacular landscapes. 

You’ll be spending the night in Bryce Canyon National Park, so don’t forget to take the time to gaze up at the vast, twinkling night sky before turning in for the evening.

As you depart Bryce Canyon National Park, you’ll make your way to the clear, sparkling waters of Lake Powell – a popular hotspot that welcomes in excess of two million visitors each year. 

Next on your tour, head to Grand Canyon National Park, one of the great seven natural wonders of the world. There will be plenty of time to stand and gaze downward at the mile-deep canyon’s sinking gorges, sharp spires and, just below the rim, the gushing Colorado River. 

Your day concludes in Flagstaff, a city in Arizona that is ensconced in mountains and aromatic pine forests.

Your journey continues today as you hurtle along the world-renowned Route 66 to Las Vegas, the ‘entertainment capital of the world’. En route, pass through Seligman, a quaint little town home to a myriad of speciality shops in which you’ll be able to purchase some Route 66 memorabilia. Don’t forget to strike a pose in front of mannequin decorated Rusty Bolt gift shop. 

Take the remainder of your day and evening to explore and enjoy the many thrills of the Las Vegas Strip. Dine in world-class establishments, hit the casinos to try your luck, see the famous musical fountains. If you plan in advance, you can even catch a show featuring world-famous acts.

You are Hollywood bound today as you head to Los Angeles. You’ll travel via the Mojave Desert, a vast stretch of wilderness home to the world’s tallest thermometer, which stands at 134 feet high, as well as some fascinating landscapes. 

After arriving in Los Angeles, you’ll be shown around the glamorous ‘city of angels’. Visit the famous Hollywood sign, wander along the Sunset Strip, and observe celebrity homes in some of the most opulent parts of Beverly Hills.
