Good compromise

Whidbey Island, Washington

We stayed only one night in one of the cabins that the lodge offer , the location is amazing (that’s the reason of the high price for night)- the cabin is well equipped even if you plan to have a meal inside ( the restaurants offered by the lodge it’s not worth it , high price and decent food)- you can also plan to eat outside in the little patio that each cabin has-so if you want to enjoy the landscape that’s the right places for you

Guildford, United Kingdom

This is from a teenagers point of view. Me and my family stayed in a room for one night only and that was probably a good idea. The view out of the window was pretty cool and at sunset and sunrise, it was spectacular. BUT That was the only good thing about it. When you sat outside on your balcony (it was really a ledge with a railing) every 5 or so minutes this air conditioning thing would turn on and make loads of noise and pump out boiling hot air. Which when you are trying to enjoy the sunset/sunrise, this isn’t great. Also I slept on the ‘sofa-bed’ thing and the entire night I had a rock hard spring on both shoulder blades and my spine. And no matter which way I turned, had a rock hard spring poking up somewhere. I seriously considered sleeping on the floor. Also, their were flies everywhere (and I know this isn’t the hotels fault but it needs mentioning). The food: Wasn’t bad if you like pizza. Breakfast: I had the small stack buttermilk pancakes. And I would never have them again. They were stodgy and porridge like. No amount of maple syrup could change this. It just soaked it up like a sponge. Over all: it was a bit meh.
