Highly recommend

Our stay at the Zion Lodge was wonderful. The first night we stayed in a lodge room and the last two nights we were in a cabin. They are similar but different and each has its plusses There was a problem with our room when we arrived so we called the front desk and they were genuinely upset that everything wasn’t perfect, came up and fixed it, and the offered us free breakfast. The lodge is run by Xanterra, not the park or government, and they are definitely a class act. The bathroom has a heater, nightlight and there are adequate plugs and even 2 USB ports. They told us tomorrow we can leave and go out in the park, but to leave our bags packed in the room and they will take them to our cabin when it’s ready. A caveat: the breakfast was not very good. At least for us, the choices were poor and slim and all was greasy and sweet. However, there is a grocery store near the shuttle into town and in the cabin we did have a fridge. Another difference is in the lodge we had a TV in the cabin we did not. Not a problem for us but if you have kids you might want the TV. I must also compliment Xanterra on their environmental awareness. They recycle everything possible and provide containers in your room and on the premises

Lovely historical cabin

The hotel is located in the national park and the shuttle bus is just in front of the hotel. It's a very relax and beautiful historical hotel. There is a huge grass area that lots of people sit together next to trees, mountain and animals. The surroundings makes it an unique hotel. we stayed 1 night at the two beds cabin. Beds are very comfortable ( you will need this after hiding hiking). The food at the restaurant is just average ( tried dinner). Wifi is very limited. Relatively stable wifi is only available in the lobby. Staff are friendly and nice. Easy/quick check in/out. would definitely stay again if going back.
